Welcome to Free Store EMM Step-By-Step!
Lesson One
Important:: PRINT THIS LESSON, AND ALL LESSONS AS YOU DO THEM, out on paper and get a notebook or folder to store all of your lessons. If you do not have a printer attached to your computer then try to make arrangements to get one as soon as possible. You'll need it often as your business develops.
It has been said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Accomplishing anything worthwhile in life takes time, effort, the necessary skills and the proper tools. This step-by-step training course will give you the skills and the tools. The time and effort are up to you.
Henry Ford said, "Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs."
During this training series we'll be quoting Henry Ford extensively. Henry Ford was a pioneer in the American Industrial Revolution. His "crazy ideas" about how to get things done efficiently and profitably led the way to the automobile being available to the masses. But not only that, the IDEAS he developed, the PRINCIPLES he espoused, changed the world, not just the automobile manufacturing industry.
Henry Ford also said, "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it."
It is a true fact that most people stop learning as soon as they stop going to school. You have already proven that you are NOT a part of that group simply because you are here! Congratulations!
If some of the steps seem overly simple or seem to be teaching you things that you already know, remember that Exact Method Marketing (EMM) is all about duplication. The things that you will be taught here will be the same things that are taught to the people to whom you introduce FreeStoreClub. We must remember that there are all levels of education, computer skills and business knowledge among our new members and we must train everyone identically so that your business can grow and prosper.
As this training course unfolds before you, and as you take the steps and accomplish the assignments, you're going to witness an amazing transformation. What once seemed impossible will become simple. Skills that you never had will become "second-nature". Skills that you may already possess will be sharpened and focused on creating income.
SET YOUR OWN PACE
Think of this training series like a "correspondence course". Each lesson will teach you a single step in the process of building your business. Then it will give you an assignment, like homework. This will let the system know that you have completed a lesson and will make the next lesson available to you.
There are no restrictions on how quickly or how slowly you may advance through the training. You can complete several lessons in a day or you can do a lesson each week or even each month. Just remember that the faster you complete the assignments the faster you will be moving toward profit. But don't go through the lessons so quickly that you miss out on important parts of the training.
REMEMBER THE WORD "EXACT"
Exact Method Marketing is EXACT. That means, within the defined limits and variations, everyone should be following the same system. Otherwise it simply isn't duplicatable.
A woman was being treated for digestive problems. As part of her treatment, her doctor instructed her to drink a glass of Burgundy wine just before bedtime each night. Since the woman didn't like the taste of wine she substituted grape Kool-Aid instead. Although the Burgundy and the Kool-Aid were both "grapy", there was clearly a difference in the results of the "treatment".
The point is, please do not make the mistake of "second-guessing" the system. Remember that EMM has worked for thousands of people over the years and it will work for you. There is no need to re-invent the wheel.
YOUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT
The first thing we will do is some basic "housekeeping" on your FreeStoreClub business site. This will be a two-step process.
Step one is very important, don't overlook this critical step. If your personal information is not entered properly, your commissions may be affected. Commission checks are sometimes returned by the Postal Service because the address is wrong or incomplete.
Step One - How To Set Up Your Store, The Right Way!
Give your new Store a real pro's touch, it's simple here's all you need to do:
In your Back Office, click the Membership tab.
On the Membership page, click on Update Account Information.
Go through every field on the page and be sure it is accurately filled out. If the password is 1234 (temporary password) then change it to something you can remember but that would be hard to guess.
Important: If you change your password you will need to reset your FSCBoss login or it will stop working. To reset the FSCBoss anytime you change your password do this immediately: Click the File menu option at the top of the Boss and then click Change UserNames. Put in your Username, jaykay, and your NEW password. This will correct your login information so the Boss won't miss a beat!
Be sure that your First and Last name and all of the address fields are "Proper Case". That means that (if your name is John Smith) it should say John Smith, NOT john smith or JOHN SMITH. Street names and City names should be proper case as well.
If you do not have a company name then leave that field blank. Do not use "N/A" or "Same" or any other such fillers. If you do they will display on your site, which looks bad.
If you live in the USA then your State should be the correct two-letter upper-case abbreviation (examples: NY, CA, NC or AK).
If you do not want your real name to display on your web site, then be sure to put in a Screen Name in that field. It should also be proper case, not all lower-case or upper-case.
In the Payment Information section be sure that the name you want on your checks is entered correctly and is proper case. Ignore the "E-Gold" reference there, for now, and check Receive Checks by mail unless you are already set up to be paid by E-Gold.
Ignore the US and Canadian Voice Mail Providers for now.
When you are sure all of the boxes are correctly entered, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. If you have updated your information correctly, then Lesson Two will appear in your Table of Contents the next time you click the Make Money button.
